Suggest Naproxen Dosage To Treat Trigger Finger

How much naproxen should be used to treat trigger thumb? I just started the symptoms 3 days ago. After reading about it, it is classic trigger thumb. I had gout (in my foot) about 19 years ago and this feels very similar, except it also has the popping going on in the top thumb joint.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

To reduce pain and swelling, naproxen can be used two times after meals. People with gastric ulcer should avoid the drug. Besides the drug you should also apply some cold or heat pads to the finger that may lessen the need of painkiller.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
