General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history related to your brother having low grade fever, swelling of upper limbs, weight loss, response to steroids but not getting okay in spite of consultation with Rheumatologist, Hematologist and other Specialists, lots of CT, MRI and blood tests.
This means there is not diagnosis that could be made.
I would think of any autoimmune disease since there is good response to steroids.
Hence ask his Doctor to undergo tests for Autoimmune disease.
Have proper tapering dosages of oral steroid as per body weight and severity of symptoms.
Take multivitamins, mineral and trace elements for their anti-oxidant properties.
Vitamin D and A in therapeutic dosages as per the blood estimates.
Identify the foods, beverages, factors, stress elements that instigate or enhance the problems and avoid these altogether.
Further management as per the cause found.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
