Suggest A Diabetes Friendly Diet

I am looking for a diet that is diabetic friendly. I was taking metformin and my doctor took me off of it, while I was hospitalized with acute bronchitis, and I am having trouble keeping my blood sugar low. I am supposed to be counting carbs, low cholesterol and because I have ulcerated colitis, high fiber.

Hello thanx for using hcm
you should consume a low carbohydrate, high fibre diet.
consume small meals rather than 3 big meals.
include more of whole cereals rather than refined ones.
Its better to eat foods based on carbohydrate counting .
Avoid simple sugars, sweets, juices, beverages which tends to raise sugars more.
Always include veg salads and atleast one source of protein in each meal.
