Hello!
Welcome to HealthCareMagic!

For a person with diabetes a proper diet with a good variety of foods is important. I would not recommend mutton continuously for 6-7 days. A variety of different foods is better than the same food over and over, even if it is very healthy.
He should eat as many vegetables, especially leafy greens as he wants. A moderate amount of fruits and pastas and breads. And use meats sparingly. Do not let him eat any processed food or pastries, etc.

A balanced diet will help him heal faster and get his energy back quickly.

I hope this helps!
