Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
ok. I want to build bones but if i eat too much of the leafy greens, then the ferritin level goes up and I then have to have a bloodletting done because I have hemochromatosis. So what should I eat to build bone in my body? Will calcium magnesium and vit D do it?
Bone growth depends on calcium and vitamin-D3. Start taking calcium and vitamin-D3 supplements in the form of once daily tablet. In diet, take more milk, cheese, non vegetarian foods like liver oil, fish, meat, chicken, eggs etc. In fruits, take banana more.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
