Suggest A Medication For Erectile Dysfunction While On SSRI Drugs

Hi I am a practicing family doc. I have a particular pt who s life has been positively changed by various SSRI but unfortunately he gets both low libido and ED with all I have tried. is there any med I can add to the SSRI that has a good chance of counter-acting the sexual SE of the SSRI? thank you!

I would like to suggest you few medicines, which are not having such side effects, like Bupropion and Vilazodone can be given safely and these medicines are having good antidepressant action without sexual dysfunction.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

SSRI is having sexual dysfunction as a common side effect. We generally treat it by using SSRI's which do not cause sexual dysfunction. Bupropion and Vilazodone are such medicines. You can ask your doctor to prescribe them instead of the current SSRI's you are taking.
