Suggest A Remedy For Alcohol Addiction

Hi
my brother is addict of alcohol and have severe depression for last 6-7 years.Situation is becoming worse day by day.He doesn't accept any medication.we are tried to keep him in rehabilation centers for few months but it didn't work.He shouts and becomes aggressive sometimes.He used to have alcohol most of the time.But now he is week and seems to have some serious psychological problem.

I can understand your situation.From narration your brother seems to have more psychological disturbance.He requires indoor treatment at psychiatric hospital.
He has either severe depression with psychotic features. Initially he can be given injection halopridol with phenargen to make him calm.Injecton lorazepam will help to alcohol withdrawal.
When he becomes stable, his problem can be evaluated and treatment can be done in that regard.
deaddiction also can be possible after that.He needs long stay of at least 15 days I guess to reach to some satisfactory improvement.
Benzodiazepines are good medicines for alcohol deaddicion. His liver function test and ultrasound liver should be done.If feasible disulfiram therapy can help.

At present he needs admission to prevent situation becoming worse.
