Putting him to alcohol anonymous or rehab center is only way to quit alcohol.De addiction center provide multi dimensional approach in alcohol addiction. Treatment of medical complication is 1st priority. As he have hepatitis and pancreatitis so total alcohol abstinence is advisable. It may worsen his medical health. Ativan can prevent alcohol withdrawal and has less heapto toxic effect so it is advisable to take it regularly. Avoid use of ativan with alcohol it cause more brain depressant effect.
