Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have blocked ears, hearing reduced and phlegm in my throat and nose, I have been trying holding my nose tight and trying to blow out air, it seems it improved a little but I now have some kind of neck pain when I try doing that, its been over a week now
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blocked ears and nose which seems to be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction and it could be due to respiratory tract infection which is creating negative pressure inside ears. For now continue doing gargles and drink one spoon of honey mix with glass of lukewarm water. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order test like viral culture test , throat swab test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis and rule out causes like acid reflux. You should go for otoscopic examination of ear as well and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial medications along with decongestants.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
