Suggest A Remedy For Burning Cheeks Post Application Of Mupirocin
my wife has Roseasa and today her cheeks were very red and she put Mupirocin 2% on her face. Her face has been burning where she put the Mupirocin and it is scaring her. She used soap and water to wash off but it still continues to burn. what is the best cream to put on her burning areas now?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain there is a possibility that she has got an Allergic reaction to the antibiotic cream Muricoprin and it is causing burning sensation.. She should not use the cream again and also ask her to do cool compresses over the face.. She can take anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine as it will reduce burning.. Wash face with cool water.. Avoid applying any cream or ointment on face.. She can apply cool Aloevera gel on face.. Consult your treating physician and explain the immediate side effects so that she can change the antibiotic and replace with other substitutes..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
