Hi I ate a lot of cherries and then i got loose motions after sometime.To cure I followed few home remedies like drinking lots of water, a teaspoon of honey, a spoon of dried fenugreek but nothing fixed the problem completely. Please help me in quickly recovering
To diagnose diarrhoea,the consistency and character of stool is more important than the frequency.
If you have watery motions with some abdominal symptoms then you will require medical treatment apart from home remedies.
You may need some tests like routine blood count,electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen if symptoms does not subside within 2 to 3 days.
You should require short course antibiotics (ofloxacin with ornidazole) with antiemetic, antispasmodics and antiinflammatories with prebiotics and probiotics.
There will be great need of fluid and electrolyte balance in body for which you can continue water intake with electrolytes.
consult some nearby local doctor or your GP who can prescribe you antibiotics.
