HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Acute/recent onset of diarrhea is usually due to either viral or bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

The symptoms typically last 3 to 7 days. Using medication to stop the diarrhea can sometimes keep the virus or bacteria inside the body. It can be best to let it run its course.

Treatment:(1) hold off solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms

When this time period occurs then a small amount of dry solid food can be used eg bread, biscuits, plain rice

(2)make sure to use enough fluids and electrolytes to prevent or treat dehydration

(3)probiotics help to shorten the course of diarrhea. These can be used on their own or in yogurt.

(4)paracetamol can help with the headache

I hope this helps
