Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have severe pain in the back inner arch area of my left foot. It is worse after walking, but hurts even when I am at rest and at times feels as if something is falling within the foot. I ve been told I have a fallen arch in that foot, and where an orthotic with good arch and heel support. Still the pain. My physical therapist felt I needed to see an orthotist to get a custom device, the podiatrist I saw was quite cavalier about everything. Ideas?
Can you give me some history like what time of day pain is more, do you feel pain is more after a long rest. Most likely look like a condition called Plantar Fascitis, Inflammation caused by excessive stretching of plantar fascia.Proper treatment to cushion the heel, wear cushioned footwear, night splints, stretching exercises.
