Suggest A Remedy For Persistent Pins And Needles In Foot

I am age 75 have a condition of non diabetic foot pain ( pins & needles) that has gotten progressively worse over the years. I do know that it is genetic, as my father and maternal grand mother suffered from a similar condition. A recent MRI of my spine was negative. My family doctor has prescribed gabapentin, which helps in the evening and allows me to sleep. I have been to neurologist, foot doctors, acpuncture etc for the past 15 years to no avail.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Concerning your symptoms of persistent pin and needle Sensations with apparently no improvement I am suggesting strongly that you have developed a peripheral neuropathy possibly caused by the following

Deficiency in thiamine level
Diabetes
Hypertensive
Peripheral vascular disease

Hence please do the following lab test
Serum thiamine
Check blood pressure
Peripheral angiography
Serum electrolytes
Do a random blood sugar

Moreover please see another neurologist with the result for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

I hope this helps Regards
