Suggest A Remedy For Premenstrual Syndrome

I have been having changes in my behavior for as long as I can remember, I thought was because of stress or just a bad day or something that led on to it. But I ve now noticed that it happens every time my period is near,it starts from about two weeks prior. I have the usual symptoms bloating, cramping, headaches and so on,I recently noticed there s nausea to,and also I get depressed, a lot, along with anxiety, angry outbursts and so on. I decided to research what could be the problem and I came across PMS. Now I m not one to quickly go and diagnose myself, but it seems like it. Is it possible that I may have PMS?

Hi,
Thanks for the posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that you could be having Premenstrul Syndrome (PMS).
However, if you would have given a complete description of your menstrual periods like what age of onset, regularity and lasting for how many days each month would have been helpful.
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a condition in which mood swings, tender breasts, food cravings, fatigue, irritability and depression are among the most common symptoms. As many as 60 to 75% of menstruating women have this problem.
You can manage or sometimes reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome by making changes in the way you eat, exercise and approach daily life and avoiding medications. For many women, lifestyle changes can help relieve PMS symptoms.
Reduce stress by means of meditation, exercise daily for at least 30 minutes and diet modifications by avoiding spicy and oily foods.
But in case the symptoms are severe, then you may need medications like Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for proper assessment and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
