Suggest A Remedy For Raw Skin Around The Vagina With BV
I used canesten cream to treat what suspected was thrush. I have since been to the doctor and was diagnosed with BV. I however had an allergic reaction to the cream which has basically left the skin around my vagina completely raw and exposed. I m in so much pain I can barely walk. What can I use to repair the skin in that area. My E45 cream only made it worse.
The first and most important thing here is to avoid leaving the region wet and unclean. Make sure you clean the region and dry off as much as possible. I can understand walking can increase friction which is why it is best to stay in bed for a few days, only lying down and avoid the use of inner garments as well which can leave the region moist again. Wear a sterile dry dressing over the region, and once a day use a topical antibiotic to promote healing. Once a day take a warm water sitz bath or sit in a tub filled with warm water and epsom salt. Healing is gradual.
Best wishes.
