Suggest A Remedy For Recurring Dizziness And Low Pulse Rate
Adult male, age 69, Caucasian, non-smoker and non-drinker. A few times per week when starting from a sedentary position to walking I feel temporarily faint. I have not fainted. The sensation passes in 30-40 seconds. Today, I was in a store that had a blood pressure/pulse measuring device, my pulse was 45 bpm. I normally run at about 60 bpm.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. fainting in most of the cases is not that much significant as occurs if person stands for long time. However when it is recurrent then it is due to three main reasons 1. Aortic valve stenosis 2. Blockage in conduction pathway of heart. 3. Peptic ulcer leading to chronic irritation of vagus nerve.
I would like to advise you to take plenty of fluids at least 8-12 glasses of water to be well hydrated.avoid prolong standing. And go for these investigations ECG, ECHo. Hope it helps best. Don't forget to rate this answer and close the discussion at Healthcare Magic. Take your best care. Regards Dr Ejaz
