I had a injury at work a little over 17 yrs. ago. It cosisted of a torn rotaor cuff and bicep tenndon tear. I continued severe pain in the scapula area but to no avail would a Dr. try to find out whatelse was going on. I was daiagnosed with an illeus after 7 yrs due to my body not being able to take the pain. I was finally diagnosed in Dec. 2009, with an injury to the Long Thoracic nerve and injury to the brachial plexus and serratus anterior areas. I am awaiting a referral to the Mayo Clinic in Mn. for them to accept me as a patient. I am having continued episodes of extreme pain and strange feelings in the scapula and the chest down the right shoulder, arm, down into my fingers. I do at this time I have a torn rotator cuff and tendon tear and there is no Dr. in NC that will touch me. I've been researching and wondering if the brachial artery or brachial vein will cause this severe pain and feelings I am having. I had a pulminary embolism in Feb. 2009 and I believe it was caused by the injury. I,m scared because I am not sure if I am having a heart attack, a blood clot, or what. I have gone through this since the day of the injury. I,ve also been diagnosed with a possible nerve entrapment in the right elbow. I am starting to drop things out of my right hand for no reason. So much to type out but nowhere near explaining what I have gone through the past 17 years. Numerous Drs. Please explain to me about the arteries and veins of the upper thoracic area and the symptons I am having. This injury has taken my life from me for 17yrs. and things contiue to get worse. It is taking over the whole right side of my body from head to toe. Thank You so much for whatever you can tell me. My pain is severe.
