I have been undergoing Rheumatoid arthritis treatment since last five years...though largely the stiffness has improved but i still do not feel good about myself and feel tired and lethargic. I also have had 3 incidences of TIA twice in 2009 and once in 2010..majorly my medicine consistes of Methotrexate and aspirin and cleft and some vitd D and c and folic acid
hello, tiredness may be a part of your disease process, medication gives relief from symptoms but sometimes, exercise also has to be a part of your disease management plan. so you need to exercise in order to overcome fatigue. also we need to be sure that you are not anemic, hypothyroid or suffer from vitamin D deficiency. if your inflammatory markers like ESR and CRP are high then the fatigue may be related to RA. lastly fatigue may be a part of a condition called fibromyalgia which is a syndrome of chronic widespread pain, in that case treatment of fibromyalgia alleviates the fatigue.
