Hi. I am 27 and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism about 10 years back.....
I have been on Homeopathic medication but it helps only as long as I keep taking the medicines.
I also obsereved that if I keep excercising regularly, my thyroid tests are normal. I have my reseravations about starting allopathic medication but have been told that it is a must. Please advise.
Hello and thank you for asking! I have gone carefully through your concern. I would advice you to treat hypothyroidism correctly. Levothyroxine or Lyothyronin are the only medication that can substitute the thyroid function. If TSH level is slightly elevated, with normal FT3 and FT4 level, you may not start the treatment as long as you do not have signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism. But if TSH is too high (over 10 mUi/ml), treatment should be started. Hope i have been helpful. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
