Suggest Alternative For Ear Surgery

My 5 year old has had fluid in her ear for about 3 months. It started as an ear infection and she had several different meds for it. Her adenoids are also swollen and make it difficult for her to breath from her nose and her hearing is off. The ENT think we may need to do sugary (tubes). I don t know if there is anything we can do aside from surgery. Any advise? Thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Hcm,
I understand your concern. I wish I could suggest some non surgical treatment for your child but how much ever you try to delay the surgery by giving medical treatment, the eventual therapy will be surgical. So I would advice you to go ahead with surgery and let me assure you that it's not a very uncommon surgery to be done that means the results are also quite good. So have trust on your surgeon and go ahead. Wish your child a good health. Take care.
