Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor, I have been prescribed to take modus 10 mg, however the distribution of this tablet has stopped now. What is the substitute medicine that I can take? I was diagnosed with PCOS and have been taking medication since 2011. Modus 10, was started recently since I didn t get my period for 3 months. With regular use of modus 10, I get my periods but without it I do not. Thank you!
Modus 10 mg (medroxyprogesterone) is a type of female hormone progesterone commonly prescribed to regulate ovulation, irregular menstrual bleeding and other conditions.
The other alternatives to modus-10 include provera, deviry or meprate. You may take any one of them after informing your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
