Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is there any alternative to unwanted 72 ? I had unprotected sex last night. Though, he used condom but second time he penetrated twice without condom. To which, I am doubtful that there might be some sperms left from previous ejaculation. Am I over reacting at this? or Can be a problem for me?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes sperms left over from previous ejaculation could cause pregnancy. therefore you could use emergency pill like unwanted 72 for emergency contraceptive. It can be used upto 72 hours to prevent pregnancy, however it should be used as early as possible to be more effective. There are many brands of emergency pill like ipill, postinor, unwanted 72 avialable in market. As per alternative to this, only IUD ( intra uterine device) could be used for emergency contraception. An IUD or copper T could be used upto 5 days of having intercourse & then it could be used as regular contraceptive method. All other methods are to be used before having sex.
Hope this information helps
