Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take Vyvanse 70 mg. I have for several years, I am a gastric bypass client as well and for the first time my ankles and feet have swollen and are tender and painful. Could it be the Vyvanse. If so, what ADHD medication can I substitute to aid me since I just got rid of the Vyvanse.
In my opinion if you want to switching from Vyvanse then you can take adderall which would be safe even when you are on hydrocodone.
Although, these two might lead to sedation/sleepiness of varied extent (due to minor interaction) but with consultation of your doctor.
Hydrocodone can be used depending on the degree/severity of pain. Both hydrocodone and cymbalta are analgesics and relive as long as you take them (treats your pain symptomatically).
However, long term use of analgesics have their own drawbacks and might have potential side effects and are not advisable.
Consult physician for further advise.
Hope this answer will help you.
