Suggest Alternative Medication For Cold Allergy

Hello, i frequently suffer from allergic cold and have to take antibiotics which I am scared of due to their side effects. I work out regularly when i am well and otherwise have a good health. What can be an effective yet less harmful combination of medicine i should consume? I am allergic to the mycin category. I recently consumed Heifen 200 plus and nicip plus which work well.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cold allergy reaction. Need not to worry. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like sinusitis or allergic rhinitis. For now take steam thrice a day , apply warm compresses to face and do warm saline gargles. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI or blood test . Doctor may also order allergy test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days along with decongestant , expectorant and anti allergic . Doctor may look for causing factor of allergy and remove it.
