Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a headache for 3 weeks, in the right back side of my head, radiating up and down the right side. It then alternates to tension/tightness around the back of my head and still neck. I have had 2 CT scans and a lumbar puncture. All tests have come back clear. Now my glands in my neck and armpits are swollen and my throat feels swollen although it isn t sore. What does this sound like? I have already been in the hospital ER 3 separate times. Should I call the evenings hours of my primary or neurologist at this point? Nothing prescribed so far has helped the head aches. (Fioricet, them Imitrex, now Prednisone.)
Although I'm not an internist, I wonder if the diagnosis of Temporal Arteritis has been considered. Not all of your symptoms are consistent with this idea, but some are. Please ask you doctors.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Lisa Baker
