this sounds stupid, in the last few months i have excessive sweating in the crotch area at night while sleeping. that has not the problem the problem is the resulting itchyness from constantly being wet. i tried jock itch creams powders(gold bond) benidryl sprays....the itch stops temporarily but never goes away

I had gone through the question and understand your concern.
If i were you doctor , i would have prescribed you , cream Lobate-GM ( which has combination of antifungal , antibiotic and steroid) and tablet fluconazole 150mg two dose taken after 1 week.
