Suggest Alternative Medication For Itchy Bumps On Elbow
I ve had an itch on my left elbow for months now I had scabies not to long ago but got treatment and used pemethrin a total of 6 times in a span of 6months before totally getting rid of them. I had some clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream left over it helps with itch temporarily but it always come back. I have several little bumps (mosquito size bumps) that itch one spot in particular
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy bumps on elbow which could be due to bacterial infection of elbow area which is leading to folliculitis and clogging of sebaceous glands with dead bacteria and sebum as excessive glands are there. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and maintain proper hygiene and dryness. Take oral antibiotics as well. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You can go for peeling as well. Avoid touching or pricking it with as it will worsen your symptoms. Wash properly with cold water and apply topical antibacterial cream bacitracin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
