Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Though I am taking Indomathicin (Indocin) one tablet a day for the past six days, I still have pain in my big right toe. I am avoiding all foods which trigger gout including drinks ie. beer, alcohol in general as well as soft drinks. Is there anything else I can do. I can t keep on taking Indocin because I have kidney problems (GFR 51) but my creatinine is normal.
I suggest you to take: 1. Uric acid test 2. T. Allopurinol 100mg for 5 days 3. T. Diclofenac 50mg for 3 days If symptoms persist kindly consult your physician
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini, General & Family Physician
