Suggest Alternative Medication For Shiver, Sweat And Nausea
I am a 64 year old woman with what I suppose is the flu 102-103 temperature last 36 hours violent shivers then sweats nausea ibprofen and pepto not working. horrible headache. I m drinking a little more today but too nauseous to eat. Do I need a doctor or ride it out some more. I am pooped!

Hello,
As the intensity of headache is much and not relieved by conventional off the counter medications, I would suggest a visit to ER for:
- Injection form of analgesic as diclofenac or tramadol hydrochloride
- Anti emetic medication as ondancetron or domperidone with PPI as omeprazole or rabeprazole. Till that time, inhalation of vapors of boiled water added Karvol capsules will help to relieve sinus congestion.
