Suggest Alternative Medication To Hydrocodone For Flank Pain Due To Kidney Stones

My daughter was just at the ER for severe flank pain and diagnosed with kidney stones. She was given hydro codone 5mg - take 2 every 6 hrs. This is causing her to have itchiness of face and chest. Should she stop taking this because of the reaction or continue. What would be an alternative to manage her pain? she is 27 and no known allergies. Thank you
