Suggest Alternative Medicine Of Janumet

Hello Doctor, I am a diabetic patient and takes Janumet (1000/50) 2 times a day. Sometimes I get tummy upset. Is there an alternative medicine to Janumet. Initially I started with diabex XR (500) 1 to 2 times a day. Then I was asked to change to Janumet. Can you please advice?

Hello and welcome to HCM.
As a specialist, i must advise you to continue with strict diet and exercise.
Then check your blood sugars,FBS,PP2BS,HbA1C,blood routine, lipid profile, creatinine, and an opthalmic check. A biothesiometry test is also desirable. You've not mentioned your age and body weight. Metformin is always advised initially. Then only combinations are advised, for better control of blood sugar. If the combination doesn't work, then safest regime is to start insulin, which you should start, under medical supervision. If you want my expert advice, you may send it to me as a direct question.
