Any options for treatment of cataracts other than surgery? Is a cataract surgeon required to request a patient s medical history prior to surgery? Surgery is the best possible option and nowadays advanced options like phaco surgery is required.
Patients previous history is important for anaesthesia purpose. Certain drugs has to be avoided and modified based on patients comorbid conditions.
