Suggest Alternative Treatment For Cyst In The Labia
I have a cyst or abscess on my labia. I think it may be a Bartholian cyst but I m not sure. About a week ago it was pea-sized. Now it s about the size of a quarter or a little bigger. It s painful to touch and now it has kind of a purple spot on it. I have been taking keflex and using warm compresses and have soaked in hot water a few times. I m embarrassed to go to the doctor about it. Is there anything else I can do?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. By reading the post, it appears that you have an infected cyst or abscess, which needs to be attended as early as possible. Hence you need not feel shy to overcome this problem. You need to be examined by Gynecologist to explore as to what it could be so that it could be treated appropriately. You don't have to worry much as most of the times such cysts can be treated by antibiotics and analgesics. Sometimes it may require drainage or excision. Hope the information provided is clear and useful. All the best.
