General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI,
To get a reliable results, home pregnancy test should be done after 8 days delay in expected date of menses. In case the test is positive when tested at proper time, the only way to avoid pregnancy is to terminate the pregnancy by medical abortion by MT pills / by surgical MTP. Both the ways are safe, when done under help of an expert gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
