Hello, The halotop solution contains a combination of salicylic acid and a steroid called halobetasol. If this combination is not found in your local pharmacy, then ask for other combination of salicylic acid and another steroid (e.g. clobetasol). Ionax T shampoo (solution) contains also a combination of salicylic acid and coal tar. You can ask for any other brand of this combination in your local drug store. These are good medications to treat psoriasis. With regards to diet, should remember that psoriasis is an inflammatory disease. So should avoid those foods that might induce or aggravate inflammation. These include limiting alcohol, fatty foods, processed foods, fine carbs, dairy. Should eat more antioxidants like fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, etc. A gluten-free diet can also help.
