Suggest Alternatives For Ibuprofen And Dimetapp For Ear Infections In A Child

My 9 year old son has had chronic ear infections since 6 months of age. Antibiotics do not help. He s had tubes 4 times and adenoids removed. His ear started hurting again yesterday. Pain is a 9 out of 10. I ve been giving him ibuprofen and dimetap. What else can I do? Do decongestants help?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it may not be infection but it may be allergic condition if this is so then antibiotic may not be used if used then it wont work and condition needs anti-histamine and best would be Levocetirizine hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
