Suggest An OTC Medicine For Mucinex Dm
Hello, I am not able to get in contact with my family physician. I have had a virus for over a week with a runny nose, nasal drip, cough, sneezing with greet productive sputum. I have been taking mucinex dm for a week at her request. It is not doing anything for me. The cough does get worse at bed time. Is there anything else that I can take to rid myself of the cough. I know that its a virus and I have to let it run it s course. But what I mean is there any OTC products instead of mucinex dm? Chad

It seems like there is a secondary infection. Consult a physician and get evaluated. A short course of antibiotics can be started empirically like levoflox. An antihistamine like cetirizine or levocetrizine can provide symptomatic relief.
