My father just got in town to visit for the weekend. He has Alzhiemers and type 2 diabetes. He is 61 years old. He forgot his insulin back home and there is no way for him to get it till Monday. What can be a insulin substitute? I was reading something about cinnamin... Thank you, michelle
hello,my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.By the studies cinnamon can help diabetes because cinnamon cut cholesterol by about 18% and blood sugar levels by 24%. But in other studies, the spice did not lower blood sugar or cholesterol levels.Anyway it is not an insuline substitute.
