Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am using Tripride -1 tablet for my Diabetes -2 . Now it is not available in the Indian medical shop. It is believed that it is one of the drug banned by Indian Government. What is the other alternative tablet I should take? I am 64 Years. I am using the above drug for the last nearly 2 years. It is working very well. Thanks.
Tripride-1 is a brand formulation of a combination of glimepiride, metformin and pioglitazone commonly prescribed for the effective control of blood sugar in type 2 diabetes patients.
The same combination of generic drugs glimepride, metformin and pioglitazones are available in different brands such Amaryl.MP, Gemipride-PM and Gluconorm-PG.
ou are therefore advised to consult your doctor for more information and refilling of the above medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
