Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Rx for Lyrica is so expensive I can no longer afford it. My neurologist has prescribed gabapentin as a substitute for the Lyrica, but pessimist that I am, I am not expecting it to help my diabetic neuropathy as the Lyrica did. Even with the so-called discount card, my Rx for Lyrica would cost hundreds of dollars/month. The pharmaceutical company that makes Lyrica would give it to me free of cost if I were destitute, but no, I am merely one of the already-strapped middle class people. Any other substitutes come to mind? Thank you!

Suggest An Alternative Medication For Lyrica
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic The gabapentin may help you, it works well for some persons with neurological pain. You can consider trying it to see if it helps you, if it does not then they are alternatives such as tegretol, amitriptyline, nortriptyline. I hope this helps
