Suggest An Alternative Medication For Papillary Conjunctivitis
i was told i have giant papillary conjunctivitis due to my contact lens (yikes i kept using them abt 60 days past their prime; don t sue me) + prescribed a corticosteroids even though he said it s a mild version (almost stage 2) | can i use something a little less severe | i have used systane + Similasan before
As steroids are already being prescribed, better guidelines over that would be: - Regular thorough eye splashing with cold water - Wearing protective glasses - Avoidance of exposure to pollen, dust etc - Local application of antibiotic drops as moxifloxacin or else as per the decision of your ophthalmologist - Control of blood sugar to prevent secondary infection or further damage - Addition of anti inflammatory medicine as serratiopeptidase or else for faster resolution
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
