Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello! can I ask for any alternative to diane35 or althea as treatment for hormonal imbalance? i have been taking diane 35 for 6 months and I decided to stop for almost 2 weeks now...however, my acne bagan resurfacing again, can you help me, please? thank you!
Diane 35 is a combination of two ingredients: cyproterone and ethinyl estradiol and it is used to treat certain severe types of acne in women that have not been successfully treated with antibiotics and other treatments.
You did not mention why you stopped taking Diane 35. You should have consulted your doctor before stopping the medicine.
For acne, you should wash your face with soap 3-4 times daily and avoid oily and spicy food or you can consult a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
