Suggest An Alternative Medicine For Pramipexole Taken For Parkinsons Disease
I was diagnosed with parkinsons disease last April. The me urologist who made this diagnosis prescribed .5 mg. of Pramipexole, which I could not tolerated, to help with my symptoms. Then he prescribedy a 1/4 dose whichu is all I can handle, but does nothing for my symptoms. Isn t there another med that might help with my symptoms? I need help!!! Barbara
There are other kinds of drugs like levodopa can be prescribed for parkinsonism. I think both Pramipexole and Levodopa are good enough as initial treatment of parkinsonism.
Please consult your Neurologist regarding no improvement of your symptoms, they may advise Levodopa. But it has some other complications those things also we need to keep in mind.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harikrishna Yamjala, Emergency Medicine Specialist
