Suggest An Alternative Medicine To Aleve For A 67-year-old
I am having edema problems in my ankles and feet. I have been to the doctor and got a good check up. Blood pressure is good, cholesterol is good, all my blood work comes back good. I do have bad arthritis and I take two Aleve every morning. Is there something else I can take instead? I am watching my salt intake. I am 67 years old.

Suggest An Alternative Medicine To Aleve For A 67-year-old
Hello, The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Ibuprofen and Naproxen (Aleve) can cause or worsen edema. I suggest you elevate legs, do not stand in the same position for a long time. reduce salt intake and walk. I suggest you to check for superficial varicose veins. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
