Suggest An Alternative Medicine To Metformin

My mom is 81 y/0 , diabetic type 2 and taking irbesartan/hydrochlorothizine 300/12.5mg Metformin 500 mg 1x a dayand Basaglar 40 units Question : bp ranges from 172/ 85- 165/95 can she take calcium channel blocker and anybreplacement for am metformin, since it causes renal insufficiency in 65 y/0?

Metformin is not safe jn kidney patients. You can consider alternatives like glibenclamide. Consult a physician and he will direct you accordingly.
