Suggest An Alternative Of Clexane Injection

My husband has had cancer surgery and months later developed a blood clot in his lung. Has been on Clexane injections for the past 6 months. He is getting lots of side effects, red rash, itchy skin, lots of bruising at the injection site. Is there an alternative he could try now that he is in the preventative phase . Thank you for your time. Marie Constable.

Hello,

Yes he has had PTE which can occur as a complication of cancer Clexine is inevitable I would suggest a newer oral anticoagulant like Dabigatron or Rivoraxiban it will be more convenient and hopefully should not cause any adverse effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
