Suggest An Alternative To Prednisone To Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis
Prednisone has not helped me even though I have been given it at intervals when the inflamation increases, together with methotrexate for RA . The side effects are devastating how do I deal with this? as I am now having ostearthrits as well. Is there any other way this can be treated without prednosone?
RA treatment includes the use of many other drugs as well but in most cases steroids are used. Some other approaches include: -Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs -Disease modifying anti rheumatic drugs (e.g. methotrexate) - Biological agents (e.g. rituximab, infliximab, etc.)
Please speak to your doctor about the introduction of either of these medications after discussing their level of use and seriousness.
Best wishes
