Suggest An Alternative Treatment For Painful, Itchy Rashes And Bumps On The Back
I have a rash on my back center right. It is not warm to touch and it has small bump and maybe one large bump. I noticed first that I could not sleep because there was mild pain that felt like it was coming from within (as in my lung), so I tried to rub the skin area (and I didn t feel a rash at that time). The rubbing helped some but then the mild pain came back and I took NSAID. That immediately eased the pain. i didn t really feel any discomfort during the day. Next night, same thing, so I took another NSAID. Then I noticed slight rash that does not seem to be getting smaller. It itches a little. I have put Itch relief on it. This rash came about during hot weather and I play golf a lot. Thanks for any advice before i go to dermatologist.
It can be allergic rash but early herpes zoster may present like this. Based on location it should be ruled out after dermatologist review. Though rashes of contact dermatitis etc may occur anywhere at the body and should be ruled out as well. Topical steroids in that case might be needed but at this moment oral anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine may be helpful for symptomatic relief.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
