Suggest An Alternative Treatment For Second Degree Chemical Burn Due To Trifluoroacetic Acid

I had second degree chemical burn due to trifluoroacetic acid on face hand and chest. I immediately subjected the exposed parts to water then after 10-15minutes. I was advised to apply soframycin on affected parts in company. Since it was available medication there. Burnout was also Der but soframycin was applied as suggested. Also company gave injections of tt and painkiller. Then in evening I visited doctor he told me to apply sofradex initially with antibiotics, combiflam and tab for acidity. Then he gave similar medication but told me to apply sofradex plus muco polysaccharide polysulfate cream mixture. It s the medication am in for 2weeks is above treatment given to me right. In these weeks hav not covered my affected areas and was not advised for same. Is there any other medication or ointment that I must take. Also when I asked doc for medication to avoid marks of burn he told me he will tell after burns will heal. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, above mentioned treatment is best of the plastic surgeon`s knowledge and expertise ; I would like to add on few things as
- Use aloe vera gel intermittently 2-3 times a day for natural healing
- Add multi vitamin with minerals and zinc tablet as daily intake which will support best way
- Drink more liquids and consume diet with essential vitamins, carbohydrates and proteins
- Avoid tight clothing, excess prolonged sun exposure
So far as avoidance of marks after healing, that depends upon the type of healing and requires clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
